This website is the home of Biinaagami, a project named after the Anishinaabemowin word for pure, clean water. Biinaagami is based on Indigenous knowledge and works to rebuild fair and healthy relationships between wildlife, people, and the Great Lakes St. Lawrence watershed. It encourages action and helps people connect with their environment through interactive maps, storytelling, and community involvement. The website highlights the docuseries Great Lakes Untamed, which shows why it’s important to protect these waters. It also has a Great Lakes Community Hub, where users can find organizations and projects to connect with water leaders who are committed to protecting the land and water we call home.
