This is the website of the Tribal Parks Alliance, which works with businesses to create an Ecosystem Stewardship Contribution program, promoting an equitable and reciprocal relationship with the tourism economy in Tofino. Participating businesses are asked to contribute one percent of gross revenues to fund stewardship initiatives such as the Tribal Parks Guardians. Businesses are also asked to acknowledge and publicise Tla-o-qui-aht rights and title to the territory, to participate in community-building events hosted by Tribal Parks Allies. In turn, Tla-o-qui-aht Tribal Parks will recognize complying businesses as “Allies,” give them the right to display the Tribal Parks Allies logo, help publicise their businesses, and provide training and support to businesses and staff.
