This is the official website of K’ih Tsaa?dze Tribal Park. The Tribal Park, created by Doig River First Nation in 2011, covers about 45,000 hectares of boreal forest near the B.C.–Alberta border, with plans to expand up to 108,000 hectares. It protects rich ecosystems—forests, wetlands, grizzly bears, caribou—and preserves vital cultural and spiritual spaces where community members teach traditional practices and find renewal.
The park blends ecological and cultural conservation, supports healing, and counters industrial impacts by restoring old seismic lines, partnering with provincial governments, and ensuring balanced land use for future generations.
