This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Mosakahiken Cree Nation and the Government of Manitoba, to reflect a common understanding about the effect of Manitoba designating Manitoba Crown Lands and waters as Little Limestone Lake Provincial Park. Both agree that the ecological integrity of Little Limestone Lake Provincial Park must be maintained in perpetuity, and that the traditional activities of Mosakahiken Cree Nation will remained unaffected by the establishment of the park. This Memorandum represents an example of a possible way of formalizing understanding and collaboration in Indigenous conservation initiatives.
