This report outlines the Restore, Assert, and Defend (RAD) Network’s work to support Indigenous-led conservation economies, focusing on the restoration of relationships with land, assertion of rights, and defense of ecosystems through Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas (IPCAs). The 2023 gathering helped shape a shared vision, with discussions on policy, Indigenous jurisdiction, youth leadership, and conservation finance. Key next steps include strengthening partnerships, developing resources, and fostering a collaborative network model to support Indigenous-led environmental and economic initiatives.
