The project will establish Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas (IPCAs) in three important areas of Tahltan Territory: Ice Mountain, Klappan Sacred Headwaters, and Sheslay through the Tahltan Land Stewardship Planning process. IPCAs are areas where Indigenous governments have the primary role in protecting and conserving ecosystems through Indigenous laws, governance, and knowledge systems.
