The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) National Climate Strategy emphasizes First Nations Climate Leadership, calling for governments to uphold climate commitments and support First Nations-led decarbonization efforts. It aims to uplift First Nations’ rights and knowledge, promote self-determined climate solutions, and ensure collaborative, transformative climate action. The strategy outlines seven priority areas, including strengthening governance, addressing infrastructure gaps, and enhancing climate resiliency, with a comprehensive plan of 108 actions to be implemented in partnership with all levels of government.
