This is the website for the ICCA Consortium. ICCA is an abbreviation for “territories and areas conserved by indigenous peoples and local communities” or “territories of life”. IPCAs are type of ICCA in the Canadian context. The website includes information on the ICCA consortium and resources related to ICCAs around the world. There is a description of ICCAs, their defining characteristics, significance, benefits and challenges.
