This framework aims to guide the harmonization of Indigenous Knowledge and Western science for climate-resilient lake management. It seeks to facilitate collaboration between these two worldviews in the Foreshore Integrated Management Planning project on Nicola Lake (British Columbia). The framework was developed to be applied during a 2023 survey of Nicola Lake and will be revised and updated once the survey has been completed. Although it is considered an internal document to support this process, there is potential for this framework to act as an educational resource in the future.
