This is the Wildlife Act of the Northwest Territories, which fully came into force on Jan. 1, 2020 (although other sections of this Act came into force at various dates since 2014). It sets out a definition of “local knowledge” and enables conservation and management measures. It is a jargon-heavy document, but could provide guidance for communities interested in establishing IPCAs in the Northwest Territories.
