This knowledge portal was developed by the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity in order to promote awareness and enhance access by indigenous and local communities and other interested parties to information on traditional knowledge, innovations and practices relevant for the conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity. It is a part of the UN Environment Program and subsequently has resources on Indigenous conservation around the world. Key sections include a resource centre, calendar of events, a photo album, Indigenous and local community organization postings, electronic conferencing facilities and the opportunity to subscribe to electronic mail-outs.
