This is a declaration adopted by the United Nations in 2007 that affirms the rights of Indigenous Peoples worldwide. It is commonly known as UNDRIP or the Declaration. It was only in 2017 that Canada began endorsing UNDRIP, but it has now been enshrined in Canadian Law through Bill C-15.
