This report reflects on the past 15 years of Coast Funds’ work and impact. Coast Funds is an Indigenous-led organization that manages $118 million in public and private funds to support First Nations in the Great Bear Rainforest and Haida Gwaii. Established in 2007, it provides financing for conservation, stewardship, sustainable energy, and economic development projects. First Nations use these funds to protect ecosystems, create jobs, revitalize culture, and build resilient local economies.

Coast Funds operates through two entities: a conservation endowment fund and an economic development fund, ensuring predictable, long-term revenue for First Nations. Over 15 years, Coast Funds has supported hundreds of projects, helping First Nations achieve their visions for healthy communities and thriving ecosystems while advancing Indigenous self-determination and sustainable development.
