“We are all Treaty People” illustrates the joint commitment from the Mi’kmaw community and the Province of Nova Scotia to deliver Treaty Education to all classrooms, grades, and schools, to the general public, and, to all public servants across Nova Scotia. Treaty Education refers to the process of creating a greater understanding of the Mi’kmaq, of inherent Aboriginal rights, recognition of the Peace and Friendship treaties as historical and living agreements, and, continuing the relationships between Mi’kmaq and all peoples of Nova Scotia.
