This discussion paper was written to catalyze the change needed to advance Indigenous-led conservation and stewardship, through Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas (IPCAs) and related Indigenous Guardian programs. The paper presents the case for IPCAs that are supported by Guardians programs and it sets out the path forward through a series of key recommendations for action in British Columbia.
